Joel Tatum
American Farmland Trust
Joel Tatum is the Senior Solar Specialist at American Farmland Trust. In this role, he develops outreach and relationships with farmers for the Farmers Powering Community program. This initiative enables landowners to engage in small solar leases while practicing agrivoltaics. Joel also helped develop AFT’s Smart Solar principles. With a background in solar project design and construction, Joel has extensive experience in agriculture and small commercial settings.

Myles Burnsed
Reactivate
Myles Burnsed is VP of Development at Reactivate, leading project development, drawing on more than fifteen years of experience in renewable energy development, strategy, and business operations.
Formerly VP at EDF Renewables, he developed over 1 GW of solar projects and pioneered front-of-the-meter solar in multiple U.S. regions. Myles also held leadership roles at ECS Energy and HelioSage, and began his career as a consultant engineer. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from UVA’s Darden School, and is based in Charlottesville, VA.

Nathan Cryder
Edelen Renewables
In his role as Chief Operating Officer for Edelen Renewables, Nathan manages a growing team of industry experts focused on executing the company’s mission-driven work.
Nathan is also a founding board member of the Kentucky chapter of the Solar Energy Industry Association (KYSEIA) and has chaired the Utility-Scale Committee since its inception in 2021.

Hehewutei “Cody” Amakali
Reactivate
Hehewutei “Cody” Amakali is VP of Impact & Community Engagement at Reactivate and serves on its Executive Committee. She leads benefit design for community-centered solar projects, directing capital into LMI communities and advancing workforce development, energy cost reduction, and local resilience.
Formerly at ExxonMobil, she developed equity frameworks for low-carbon markets, securing $33M in clean energy investment. Cody is an expert in integrating community benefits into renewable energy, with a career rooted in stakeholder inclusion, Tribal collaboration, and sustainable workforce programs. She holds degrees from American University and Appalachian State.

Chad Braden
Edelen Renewables
Chad Braden, Director of Origination for Edelen Renewables, is a results-oriented sustainability professional with proven abilities in strategic planning, managing projects, improving efficiency of operations, and team-building.
He comes to the Edelen Renewables team with an extensive background in the field of sustainability consulting and as the former Director of Sustainability for Stonebridge Hospitality, where his primary focus was to guide hotels through the process of retrofitting their energy systems to clean, modern, and cost-saving alternatives.

Greg Plotkin
American Farmland Trust
Greg Plotkin is the Senior Manager for Smart Solar Outreach and Engagement at American Farmland Trust. With over 20 years of nonprofit experience, he leads initiatives to educate and engage agricultural audiences in farmer-first solar projects.
Previously, he served in various roles at AFT, including Director of Digital Communications, where he spearheaded successful campaigns like America’s Farmers Market Celebration. Greg holds a BA in political science from The George Washington University and resides in Sonoma County, CA.

As the National Farm Viability Managing Director at American Farmland Trust, Nathan leads national efforts to elevate farm viability across AFT’s programming with a specific focus on AFT’s Smart Solar program, AFT’s grant-making efforts, including the Brighter Futures Fund, and AFT’s work to advance business technical assistance to farmers.
